Hunting History

Hunting game for food, clothing and shelter is a big part of the story of the human race. It predates the human civilization we know today in many ways. There is evidence that we used larger animals for food almost two million years ago.

Hunting Safety

Every year, hundreds of hunting accidents occur across America. Many of these accidents could have been avoided by practicing gun safety techniques. If your weapon came with an ownerís manual, read it from cover to cover.

Bow Hunting

With bow hunting, people are getting in touch with the control of the hunt and are learning all sorts of new things about getting in tune with themselves and using their own bodily power to get in touch with the zen of hunting.

I bought this product for my husband's deer hunting. He has taken excellent pictures with this product. He loves the zoom feature. I will use it to take pictures of birds. Very simple to use. Recommend this product to anyone.
Wonderful Binoculars

Reviewer: Pat Hufford,
My husband spent hours researching binoculars before he chose these as a gift for me. We do a lot of birdwatching and I thought our old binoculars were fine, until I tried out this pair. It's still winter but I can't wait for spring to really start using these. Last year, we had hawks raising their young in a nest close to our home. Hopefully, they will return; I can hardly imagine how exciting it will be to observe them using these binoculars.

I also walk daily at the park; I found these very comfortable to wear around my neck, using the strap provided. They can also be worn at the waist. They are extremely light, comfortable to hold and easy to adjust. I look forward to using them for years to come.

The binoculars were fine but every photo I took was blurry from camera shake, no matter how steady I was taking the photo.
Poor quality photo

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and we had to return it. He loves to take pictures and hike so I thought it would be perfect for him. The binocular itself was good quality, however, the camera took horrible pictures.
A piece of misguided engineering

Bushnell 10 x 25 Binocular with VGA Camera with inset LCD slot

This "camera/binocular"-- the Bushnell 10 x 25 Binocular with VGA Camera -- is a user's nightmare. The camera control functions of the unit are completely erratic. It will often just not respond at all to any of its control switches. The on/off feature is often just not there and the same is true for its other button-activated controls. The control functions and the instructions for using them are goofy and difficult to understand and follow. The functions of the control buttons are not identified on the unit except through almost invisible raised symbols on two of the three controls. The LCD screen is dim and small and of little use in outdoor light (when it does happen to turn on) and that's where one normally uses binoculars, isn't it? - in the out of doors. It's also a very hungry battery hog.

I'm a longtime, experienced user of digital cameras of several kinds and various quality, but trying to make sense of and enjoyably use this thing was/is seemingly impossible. I considered selling it on eBay, but I don't want to deal with the guilt of passing this technical blunder along to yet another hopeful buyer.
